Just received and started installing these grates and they fit perfectly into my floor cutouts where I had plastic vents. They look great, sit flat and slows the air flow down which helps keep the air pressure equally distributed throughout the house. I also love the design that things ( dog hair, damn German Shepard LOL) don't get into the ducts through the vent openings. Next step is installing the wood floor and tile pieces into the slot to give it that smooth and hidden transition. Love them
